The machine itself has a certain noise list. The environment should be clean and the noise list should be low after maintenance. If it is an alarm, there are many situations, such as battery power supply after power failure, battery power supply caused by unstable voltage, and alarm when the machine fails.
UPS (Uninterruptible Power System), namely uninterruptible power supply, is a constant voltage and constant frequency uninterruptible power supply with energy storage device and inverter as the main component. It is mainly used to provide uninterrupted power supply for single computer, computer network system or other power electronic equipment. When the mains power input is normal, the UPS will supply the mains power to the load after it is stabilized. At this time, the UPS is an AC mains voltage stabilizer, and it also charges the battery in the machine; When the mains power is interrupted (emergency power failure), UPS will immediately supply 220V AC power to the load through inverter conversion to keep the load working normally and protect the load software and hardware from damage. UPS equipment usually provides protection against both excessive and low voltage.
The reason why the ups power supply keeps dropping
There are several reasons as follows:
1、 Prompt tone:
1. During startup and shutdown, a "drop" sound tells you that the key is successfully opened or closed.
2. The "drip" sound with a long interval (about 5 seconds) tells you that the battery is now used for power supply. At this time, there may be two situations: one is that the mains power has been interrupted, and the other is that the mains voltage is too low and the battery is supplying power.
3. The continuous and rapid sound of "dripping" indicates that the battery is about to run out and the UPS will automatically shut down.
Different UPS have different designed prompt tones, and there are various ways to express prompt contents. Some use indicator lights, some use voltage and ampere meters, and some use small display screens.
2、 Noise.
1. It is difficult to avoid the whistling of the cooling fan, especially the loud sound of the high-power UPS. Of course, when it is found that the noise is louder than that of the new purchase, dust removal should be carried out, especially the dust on the fan blade and the protective net.
2. Buzz. The power frequency sine wave is output to the UPS, and there is a large transformer inside. When the battery power supply recovers to the mains power, it is not only necessary to meet the output requirements, but also to charge the battery. The transformer works at full load, and emits 50 cycles of AC humming sound that resonates with the chassis. This came into being at a special time.
3. Irregular crackling and snapping sound, which is likely to have a fault, should be carefully observed at this time, if necessary, stop the machine for inspection.
In general, you should be familiar with the characteristics of the UPS used and be able to handle situations calmly.
Solution to the dripping sound of UPS power supply
UPS is originally a backup power supply for short time power supply. The "Didi" beep means that the power grid has stopped supplying power, and now it is switched to DC power supply. Because the internal battery capacity is extremely limited, it can only maintain power supply for a few minutes. This "Didi" beep is just to remind users to save data as soon as possible, so as to avoid the loss of non stored data due to 'forced' power failure.
Generally, the buzzer is directly welded to the motherboard; Solutions: 1. Use an electric soldering iron to heat and disassemble, and the sound will disappear completely. 2. Paste a sticker on the sound outlet of the buzzer, and there is still sound, but it is significantly reduced.
Theoretically, this is meaningless, because UPS can only provide you with power for a few minutes.
This can also be solved by using a large battery. The voltage should be the same as that of the internal battery.
